About me, Brian Pollitt BSc BA(Hons) LicAc MBAcC

Acupuncturist Leamington Spa & Stratford upon AvonBefore turning to Acupuncture, I worked for (too) many years as a project manager in various industries. I have been interested in Chinese Medicine for many years through Tai Ji and Qi Gong. It was training to be a Tai Ji teacher that brought my attention to Acupuncture and Five Element Theory. This style of acupuncture focuses on identifying and treating underlying imbalances to achieve overall harmony, resulting in a general feeling of well-being, increased energy levels and a greater ability to deal with whatever trials life may present. Through my Tai Ji training, I found the remedial work very rewarding, so when the opportunity came to study acupuncture, I just had to follow the call.

I trained at the College of Traditional Acupuncture, in Leamington, which was founded by J.R. Worsley, who first brought this style of acupuncture to the West. I graduated with an honours degree and hold a Licentiate in Acupuncture. I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council. I firmly believe in the teachings of JR and the maxim of acupuncture helping people to achieve their potential and to become who they are meant to be.

I tend to focus on those conditions that Western medicine does not have a great deal of success with, such as skin diseases, pain relief, and emotional disorders. It is equally rewarding however treating people for issues such as fertility problems, especially when the result is a lovely bouncing baby!
